No. 17: Danni Ashe
June 9th, 2012
Danni Ashe is the perfect example of the American success story. SCORE was happy to have helped her climb to fame and fortune. The rest was all her doing.
The South Carolina native started exotic dancing in Seattle in 1985. A diminutive girl-next-door with 32FF-cup boobs and wholesome good looks, she moved to Los Angeles, began modeling in 1991 and started selling her photos by the time-honored but laborious (compared to now) process of mail order. The big-bust world is small, so we found out about Danni and wanted her to make her SCORE debut (as Danielle Ashe) in the February 1994 issue. It was the first of many shoots. Her next pictorial was her Voluptuous magazine debut in the Winter '95 edition.
In 1994, she decided to try feature dancing. On her fourth booking, Danni was busted at a club in Jacksonville, Florida, never having been told about the local dancing laws by the manager and owner. The bad experience led her to quit dancing forever, although she fulfilled one last booking at the sleazy Market Street Cinema in San Francisco. Curious about the fledgling internet, Danni got into the Usenet in 1995. Wanting to build her own site, she hired programmers but wasn't happy with them, so, while on vacation, she studied books about programming, inspiring her to become one of the Internet's first adult webmasters.
In 1996, Elliot James wrote about the massive crowds that circled the SCORE booth at the 1996 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas with Danni and other SCORE Girls. "When not signing her mini-poster, Danni was studiously demonstrating Danni's Hard Drive to the attendees via a laptop at her end of the booth." In the beginning, SCORE provided her with their content. During the early stages of SCORE's web development, Danni partnered with SCOREMag, the site that would evolve into SCORELAND.
Danni was never interested in doing hardcore XXX, but she did girl-girls with other big-bust stars such as Minka, Chloe Vevrier, SaRenna Lee, Linsey Dawn McKenzie, Lisa Lipps and many others.
Throughout the late 1990s, she was the softcore girl-girl queen of the web, an entrepreneur, and a master of the media. She was even written up in the Wall Street Journal (alongside a pencil drawing of her with no nipples in sight). A fan super-favorite, Danni sailed on the Boob Cruise three times (1994, 1995 and 1997), and her warm style helped make the Boob Cruise the event it was.
